WHAT IS A WEIGHT LOSS CHALLENGE? It is a competition for those who are interested in losing
weight and adapting a healthy lifestyle to participate with a group of friends, family and colleagues in
order to shed pounds in the spirit of fun, friendly, healthy competition. Oh yeah, and you can win some
money, too!
HOW DOES IT WORK? Each entrant will compete against other contestants with a goal of losing the
most percent of body weight. The contestant that losses the most percentage wins. There will be 6 total
weigh ins to mark each contestant's progress and to be educated on healthy ways to lose weight.
WHO CAN PLAY? In order to play, you need to meet the following rules:
1. You must pay the initial $25.00 entry fee. Your payment and application must be received by January
22nd 2011.
2. You must make it to the initial weigh in on January 22nd 2011 and the final weigh in on April 16th
2011.
3. You must be at least 14 years of age prior to January 22nd weight in.
4. You must have the ambition to want to lose weight in a healthy way.
5. You cannot be pregnant at the start of the competition.
6. If you have had any weight loss surgery such as but not limited to lap band or stomach stapling, you
will not be allowed to win the competition, but participation is encouraged.
7. Must be at least 14 years of age by January 22nd, participants age 14-17 must have a parent also
participating to enter.
8. Doctors and staff of Mosier/Timperley will be able to participate but will not be eligible for prizes.
9. You do not need to be a patient at Mosier/Timperley Chiropractic to participate. The competition is
open to the public.
HOW DO YOU WIN? Winning will be determined by losing the most percent of body weight.
WHAT DO YOU WIN? First place will win $500. Based on the number of entries is what other
contestants will win. We return all of the entry money in forms of cash and prizes.
HOW LONG IS THE COMPETITION? The competition is 3 months (12 weeks) long from January 22nd to
April 16th 2011.
IS THERE A MINIMUM NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS? In order for the first place prize of $500 there will
need to be at least 20 participants. If less than 20 participate first prize will be determined by multiplying
number of entrants by 25. (ex. 10 participants would have a first prize of $250)
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? The entry fee is $25.
WHAT ALL TO I GET FOR THE $25 ENTRY FEE? You will get; 6 health talks, multiple coupons from local
companies, possibility of winning prizes, the knowledge to live a long healthy life.
WHAT IF I DECIDE TO QUIT? Should you choose to quit the game, you forfeit the entry fee to the
competition. There are no refunds.

winner(s) should consult their tax advisor in determining any tax liabilities.
TOTAL WEIGHT LOSS WILL BE A TIE BREAKER IN THE EVENT THAT TWO CONTESTANTS HAVE THE
SAME PERCENT WEIGHT LOSS. IN THE EVENT NO PLAYERS LOSE ANY WEIGHT NO WINNER(S)
CAN BE DECLARED, THE ENTIRE $500 WILL BE DONATED TO CHARITY.(CHARITY TO BE
DETERMINED BY EVENT ORGANIZERS) Participants agree that the organizers of Mosier/Timperley
Weight Loss Challenge (Contest Organizer) will have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held
harmless by participants against any liability for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind to
person(s), including death, or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from
acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize or participation in this Contest or any Contest
related activities. A Participant may only enter for him/herself. Any false entries or false representations
will not be eligible. If for any reason this Contest is not capable of running as planned, including, but not
limited to, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or any other causes beyond the reasonable
control of Contest Organizer which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or
proper conduct of the promotion, then Organizer reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel,
terminate, modify or suspend the Contest. Organizer may prohibit an entrant from participating in the
Contest or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that said entrant is attempting to
undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair play
practices or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other entrants or Organizer or Sponsor
representatives. Organizer reserves the right in their sole discretion to modify or cancel all or any
portions of the Contest because of technical errors or malfunctions, viruses, hackers, or for other
reasons that corrupt the Contest in any manner. Organizer also reserves the right in their sole discretion
to disqualify any entrant who fails to comply with these Official Rules, who attempts to enter the Contest
in any manner or through any means other than as described in these Official Rules, or who attempts to
disrupt the Contest or to circumvent any of these Official Rules. Entrants agree to be bound by these
Official Rules and by the decisions of the Organizer, which are final and binding in all respects.
Organizer reserves the right to change these Official Rules at any time, in its sole discretion, and to
suspend or cancel the Contest or any entrant's participation in the Contest should viruses, bugs,
unauthorized human intervention or other causes beyond Organizer's control affect the administration,
security or proper play of the Contest or Organizer otherwise becomes (as determined in its sole
discretion) incapable of running the Contest as planned. Entrants who violate these Official Rules,
tamper with the operation of the Contest or engage in any conduct that is detrimental or unfair to
Organizer, Sponsors, the Contest or any other entrant (in each case as determined in Organizer's sole
discretion) are subject to disqualification from entry into the Contest and will not receive a refund of the
contest fees. Organizer reserves the right to lock out persons whose eligibility is in question or who have
been disqualified or are otherwise ineligible to enter the Contest. If you have any questions about these
Official Rules or the Contest, please e-mail them to patients@mtchiro.net. In the event this Contest is
cancelled prior to the stated end date, a notice will be sent to the participants and all of the fees will be
refunded. We reserve the right to disqualify any participant for any reason; including game misconduct or
suspicion of cheating. Contestants who quit or are disqualified from the competition automatically forfeit
the entry fee made to the competition. There are no refunds. By making payment and entering the game,
you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the rules of the game set forth within this document.
